We realize that placing a loved one in an extended care facility is a very difficult decision. It is our promise to make your loved one happy and feel at home. Take a look below and see what some of our satisfied clients have to say about Golden Coast Senior Living.

Hello Usha,

My Mom Pauline Cena is in your Los Lenones house in FV and I couldn’t be more blessed to have her there. She is also very happy when she isn’t confused, but at almost 92 she’s doing very well. Below are my answers to your questionnaire. The payment is automatic, so I don’t snail mail.

Yes, you may add my name to your reference list.

The facility interior is always immaculate and Mom is always spotless and looks like she was just bathed no matter what time I arrive. The exterior is always groomed and clean. Thank you for taking out the higher bushes outside her window as she now has a better view of the street.

Adel and Nina are the very best. Mom loves Adel and always says what a nice young man he is. My Mom can be very demanding and requires a lot of patience especially when she is awake during the night. Adel has the patience of a saint. I have been traveling a lot with work and haven’t been able to visit as often as I would like (I am the only family member in So Cal), and it is so comforting to know that she is so well loved and cared for. I don’t know what I would do if it weren’t for your excellent facilities.

Thank you again,
Sincerely,
Pat Evans

I had my Mom living with me for a year once she was to the point where she couldnt live on her own. It was great to have her with me but also a tough time due to the fact that I need to work long hours and could not be with her during some hours of the day. It concerned me dearly to know she was at home alone and it just didn't feel safe for many reasons.

I took my Mom and we were able to have the opportunity to meet Usha and the staff at Golden Coast Senior Living once we found there was an opening in their home. It seemed like a good fit so we proceeded forward in getting her moved in there home in Mission Viejo. That's been a few months now and yeah it was tough to let go and a unique experience to move my Mom into a board and care home but it's been a good thing for her for so many reasons she can be a tough one to deal with sometimes I know but they are good with understanding her condition and needs and I'm so far very pleased with the care they provide my Mom and she seems happy there too which is a good feeling.

Would I recommend Golden Coast Senior Living? Absolutely! They care about the people that are with them, and the people living there seem happy with their day to day lives. Nothing is perfect and every family has their own situation and needs but for me and my Mom I feel her living at Golden Coast Senior Living has been and continues to be a very good thing.

Thank you to Usha, Naida, Bong, Priscilla and all the staff at Golden Coast my Mom and I appreciate you very much.

My 63 year old brother was a resident at Golden Coast for the last year of his life. He suffered from Downs Syndrome, early onset dementia and was wheel chair bound. The care he received was phenomenal. The staff treated him like family. They brought out the best in him.

He shared a room with another resident. It was spacious, squeaky clean, and plenty of sunlight. All of this adjacent to a golf course. The meals were quite delicious, as I shared one with him. You can stop by anytime to visit your loved one and are always welcomed by the staff.

This is as good as it gets!

Wow, excellent care for my husband. All of the hospitals, nursing care, transportation drivers that l have contacted have praise for the facility. They have updated me on the health and mental disposition of my husband almost everyday. This is a home not a sterile hospital.

Dear Usha and Michael,

Trust you, Al and your family are doing well.

Just sending this e-mail to you, as I’m not sure if you were informed that my mom, Emma, was taken by ambulance to Saddleback Memorial Hospital Emergency on Sunday, July 26th,  complaining of  “ chest pain and difficulty in breathing”.    I truly very appreciate the timely manner in which your DeSalle House caregiver responded to her expressed and demonstrated distress by calling 911 and or ambulance, and then calling to inform me of the same.  It really meant so much to me that it was done, and I feel great comfort in knowing that such a response will be initiated again if it becomes necessary in the future.  Thank you.

Please also note thereafter, upon my arrival that Sunday at Saddleback Emergency, I was able to sit with my mom and speak with the attending physician, Dr.  Munden.    Dr. Munden advised x-rays had been taken and a blood analysis conducted prior to my arrival, and diagnosed her with having contracted “Community Acquired Pneumonia”, prescribed antibiotics, and discharged her as being able to return to the DeSalle Home.  I forwarded her discharge papers to Rebecca as requested by house staff.

As recently as this past Wednesday, July 29th,  I sat with Mom at the DeSalle home.  I was very happy to find her in excellent spirits, breathing unlabored, and not complaining of pain or discomfort, as well as the staff confirming she is eating and sleeping well and taking the antibiotics as prescribed.   Such a feeling of relief to see her recovering so well so quickly.   Needless to say, it allayed my concerns.  A nurse will be following up with her, as directed and arranged by her assigned Primary Care doctor.

Again, the timely actions of your staff were greatly appreciated in addressing my mom’s health issues that Sunday. She is my sunshine! And I love her beyond words can express.

Thank you, Sincerely,
Ken McClellan

Getting a family member or friend into a board and care facility can be a very stressful proceed, its emotional, sometimes confusing, sometimes feeling did I make the right decision.

Well I can say after interviewing 4 different facility I was very fortunate to fine Golden Coast Senior Living in Mission Viejo. The minute I started the interview with the owner I know that there was a complete difference from the other 3 facilities that I had interview with. The owner and staff listened to our needs they could not have been more kind, honest and helpful.

The guidance they provide was most helpful, the staff was acknowledgeable and caring. We were going to need Hospice care and that need was provide with ease and care. I would highly recommend Golden Coast Senior Living. I will always be grateful and appreciate all their sincere and loving care they give to our loved one.

My father was a resident at Golden Coast Senior Living for about four years. During this time he suffered from dementia and was almost completely bedridden. The care he received from the staff was wonderful. They did their best to understand and accommodate his individual needs and help him to be as comfortable as possible. In fact, when I consider the amount of time he was confined to his bed. I am so thankful that he never experienced bedsores.

I am very grateful to Usha and the staff for the excellent care my father received and would highly recommend them to families in need of board and care for their loved ones.
